Dr. Milton Sauta

Pulmonary and thoracic surgeon

A senior thoracic surgeon, Dr. Sauta is a graduate of the Royal University of Medicine of Brazil.

1975-1980: Dr. Sauta completed his thoracic surgery internship at the Christian University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

1989: He immigrated to Israel and served as Division Head of the Thoracic Surgery Department at the Carmel Hospital in Haifa.

May 2000: He was appointed head of the Thoracic Surgery Unit at the Beilinson Hospital.

January 2006: He was appointed head of the Pulmonary Surgery Department at the Beilinson Hospital.

Dr. Sauta is an active supervisor and lecturer at the Tel Aviv University Faculty of Medicine. He has published over 70 articles in international medical literature and serves as a reviewer in a number of international professional journals. .

2008-2012: Dr. Sauta served as Chairman of the Israeli Society of General Thoracic Surgery and is a member of several European and American Associations in the field of thoracic surgery.

Dr. Sauta heads the only group in the country that performs lung transplants.

Dr. Sauta also performs surgery at the Schneider Children's Hospital and is an expert in repairing complex defects of the respiratory tract in newborns and infants.
